Christy Grossman
Assistant Trainer
When Christy sprung Curious the pitbull from a local shelter four years ago, Christy didn’t realize that would mark the beginning of her career in dog training. Curious was a sweet dog with no training who needed help finding a home. So together they set out to teach Curious her manners and break a few of her bad habits. Christy and Curious went to obedience classes, began rally and tricks classes and focused Curi’s energy on agility. And before long Christy realized two things she absolutely loved: Curious and Dog Training. It was official – Curious would get her forever home and Christy would become a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
After a lifetime of volunteering for local shelters, pet-sitting and fostering countless dogs, today Christy is well on her way to fulfilling her dream. Today, you will find Christy helping out in the Pets In Motion classroom or joining Curious at her new job. Now a certified Therapy Dog, Curious lends a paw at nursing homes and hospice care with Christy at her side. And once again, the experience of working together has been so rewarding for Christy that it’s influenced her career.
